Baltic Nest Institute is located at the Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University, the National Environmental Research Institute, Aarhus University and at the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE). We are interested n extending the institute with additional partners and new divisions can join the Baltic Nest Institute after decision by the Executive Board.
BNI is currently a formal collaboration between The Resilience Centre, University of Stockholm, the National Environmental Research Institute (NERI), University of Aarhus and the Finnish Environment Institute. Partners include the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, Danish Institute for Fisheries Research at the Technical University of Denmark, and four departments in NERI. BNI is managed by an executive board representing the financing institutions and by a management board including the heads of the two departments (Christoph Humborg and Bo Riemann). The daily work is managed by Christoph Humborg and Bo Gustafsson in Stockholm, by Jacob Carstensen in Roskilde and by Anna-Stiina Heiskanen in Helsinki.
