Description:

A workshop will be held on March 30-31 at BNI Stockholm within the Bonus project “HYPoxia mitigation for Baltic Sea Ecosystem Restoration (HYPER)".

One aim of HYPER is to understand and quantify the relationships between oxygen concentrations, benthic organisms and biogeochemical processes. An important part of this is to develop a model for the faunal response to changes in hypoxia and other environmental factors.  At the workshop benthic ecologists and physiologists will join forces with modelers to outline novel approaches to resolve these issues for the Baltic Sea.

The HYPER home page is not up yet but project abstract and participants list is available at http://bonusportal.org/research_projects/research_projects/hyper/
