CREAM
Center for Research and Monitoring of the Marine Environment was a Marie Curie Training Site hosted by the National Environmental Institute (NERI) in Denmark andĀ funded by the European Commission.

The CREAM training site educated a new generation of PhD students, from different universities in the member states of the European union, specifically trained to extract interesting and relevant information from the routine collection of data in monitoring programmes. They were trained at the CREAM training site at NERI to use that information to gain knowledge about how marine systems operate in order to evaluate anthropogenic and climatic impacts upon the marine environment.

Cream and the Water Framework Directive CREAM contributed to the European Community in particular within the basic principles outlined in the Water Framework Directive (WFD) and within the Fifth Framework Program.

The project ran between 2002 and 2006
