Workshop on "Understanding temporal trends in nutrient and carbon fluxes to coastal oceans: Toward a linking of different modeling approaches"
In a joint workshop arranged by Stockholm University together with the Pierre and Marie Curie University and Cornell University, hydrologists, biogeochemists and ecologists will meet to discuss watershed models and nutrient accounting tools.Goal of the workshop
The goal of the workshop is to bring together some 15-20 American (US, Canada) and European scientists to work toward new approaches to address temporal trends of nutrient and carbon fluxes, both retrospectively and into the future, and to further encourage linkage of different modeling approaches.
One task of this workshop is to share ideas as to how the various accounting methods and models presently handle the above-mentioned issues and how the “lateral” models and the “vertical models” might be conceptually interlinked.
